Light blue and white is a very popular color scheme. It can be incorporated into any room in your house and helps create a wonderfully spacious, airy, serene and tranquil environments. It is an excellent color choice for your home bathroom, let’s take a look at some inspirational bathroom ideas in white and pale blue.
The following bathroom images all come courtesy of bhg.com. In italics is a quote from bhg with their description of the room.
Two vanities, each with a sink and a mirror, or one long vanity equipped with two sinks is a common design element for today’s master baths.
Above-counter basins and vessels are today’s hot choice for adding elegance to otherwise ordinary vanities. These sinks work equally well in master bathrooms with contemporary, traditional, Asian, or eclectic styles. Note that vessel sinks may require tall or wall-mount faucets.
The use of blue is kept to a minimum with just the walls painted in blue but the effect is wonderful with the walls reflecting off the mirrors which helps to open up the room adding another dimension to an otherwise pure white bathroom.
Cottage Bath with Twice the Style – Matching pedestal sinks, clear-glass shelves, and mirrored medicine cabinets separated by a simple storage unit offer a symmetry that’s pleasing to the eye without taking up much space in this modest-size bathroom. The placement of the sconces on each side of the mirrors means they can do double duty, providing both task lighting and ambient lighting.
This gorgeous cottage bathroom is completely white except for a few well placed touched of Caribbean bay blue, a beautiful blue that makes an impact and never lets you forget it’s there! It is highly vibrant and automatically gives the room a beach and seaside atmosphere.
Bathroom Bathed in Natural Light -White wainscoting and moulding form the basis for the structure of this cottage bath, but the placement of windows really enlivens the room. The combination of a skylight with a pair of windows above the vanity more than doubles the amount of natural light that enters the room through what otherwise would have been blank wall or ceiling space…. ….Sky-Blue Bathroom – Sky-blue walls welcome the sun through skylights and windows in this top-of-the-house setting for a master bath. Crisp, white Craftsman trim and vintage-look wainscoting help recapture this bungalow’s historic charm. Marble countertops complement the simple color scheme, while period-appropriate faucets and hardware add character.
Today’s bathtubs come in a multitude of styles, shapes, sizes, and materials and boast innovative features you’ll fancy. Here a claw-foot porcelain tub boasts vintage style and modern comfort, including soothing water jets. The tub’s graceful swan neck provides a high resting place for a weary back, neck, and head.
This beautiful claw foot bathtub is set in front of wonderful pale blue and white striped wallpaper white adds to the elegant, sophisticated and traditional feel of this room.
Bathroom Storage Solutions –
Though they can be more expensive than store-bought bathroom cabinets, built-ins offer custom storage options. In this room, a wall of built-ins, including a linen press-style cupboard, transform the space into a charming, functional bath without taking up much floor space.
Sea-Inspired Bathroom –
Soft white cabinetry with beaded-board accents and a sea-inspired blue backdrop create cottage style in this master bath. Old-fashioned touches include a scalloped sink, clear-glass knobs, and a framed mirror. Rustic pine flooring adds a country feel.

I am Pandora. A lover of interior design, decorating, homes, gardens and all things stylish!
I have been studying interior design as a side project for a few years on and off and decided to make this blog where I jot down my ideas and inspirations in the hopes that they will help or inspire others.
I am particularly in love with devising new color schemes an will try to add some of that here too.
This home and decorating site is a work in progress for me so come back often to see new ideas!
