Glam, feminine and completely turquoise! Bedroom design by Margaret Donaldson.
Turquoise is the order of the day in this decadent glamorous design, we see it in various shades on the headboard of the bed, the bedspread, the curtains, the settee and even the ceiling. Other ultra feminine touches are seen in the use of gold and silver accents, damask patterns and velvet fabrics.
Large colonial windows flood the bedroom in natural light. A lovely room idea for a teenage girl or any girl for that matter!
Monolithic bold green modern kitchen by Bruce Bolander architect.
Amazing how the bright lime/ neon green cabinets contrast against the natural greens of nature behind it. Nature and man-made co existing in harmony. Now this is not a color for the faint at heart, nor the conservative types. It is out there, it is loud, it’s the color of my favorite energy drink.
The stainless steel appliances and finishes do something to cool this green down a touch, but it still evokes a feeling of raving all night while “The Prodigy” rages through my speakers, I feel hyped!
I am always a fan of turquoise, that is why you will see so much of it here on this site. This color connects the heart to the mind, it evokes feelings of peace and tranquility and is very refreshing.
In this kitchen, the turquoise in combination with the pure white creates an almost angelic color scheme that is very unique when combined with the glossy, edgy, sleek modern lines of the cabinets and fit outs.
Stunning bedrooms in classical designs with strong red accents displayed through patterns and textures.
The color red is a very strong and potent color that is most often the choice of extroverts. Red has real physical effects on our bodies; it provides a sense of protection form anxiety and fears, it increases heartbeat, pulse rate and blood pressure and encourages enthusiasm, confidence and action. Red is the color energy of arousal and passion, this can be perfect in a bedroom when you want to create an element of desire and strong sexual excitement.
If you are drawn to the color red, then that is no mistake, according to Feng Shui principles this means that your body is getting energy nourishment from these colors, so go with your feelings!

I am Pandora. A lover of interior design, decorating, homes, gardens and all things stylish!
I have been studying interior design as a side project for a few years on and off and decided to make this blog where I jot down my ideas and inspirations in the hopes that they will help or inspire others.
I am particularly in love with devising new color schemes an will try to add some of that here too.
